Who Are We?
We are a church who strive to live according to the whole Bible. Our main focus is to be centered on Jesus Christ and His gospel so that God may be glorified and seen as sovereign to everyone. We are a family who value our relationships as we walk together on this great mission that God has called us to. We are passionate about God, His people and His mission.
How Will We Accomplish The Mission God Has Given Us (To Save the Lost and Equip the Saved)?
We will accomplish this by living out 'Kingdom Values'. These are:
1. A Culture of Truth:
- The church must be the foundation and pillar of truth - 1 Timothy 3:15.
- The Bible plus nothing - the Bible minus nothing. Accepting the bible as the infallible, inerrant, divinely inspired Word of GOD.
- Every believer fully grounded in all the truth.
- This will result in lives of integrity, liberty and truthfulness.
2. A Culture of Biblical Leadership
- The church is led by a team of elders and deacons, with one elder leading the team.
- They are not to lord it over the flock - but to minister or serve those put in their care by the Lord.
- These leaders demonstrate vulnerability, transparency, honesty and integrity.
- We train and equip all believers for leadership.
- As leaders we are prophetic in our leadership - we see the future, prepare for the future and become the future.
3. A Generous Lifestyle and Stewardship by using our Spiritual Gifts, Serving and Giving
- By laying down our lives in following the example set by Christ.
- Tithes, offerings, blamelessness and accountability
- To be financially free is part of our inheritance.
- Spiritual gifts are those gifts given by the Spirit of God for the accomplishment of God's purpose in the world and for the edification of the church, the body of Christ. Eph 4:11-13, 1 Cor 12:4-7
4. Fun and Friendship
- We are friends while we work and build together. Acts 2:42
- Covenantal relationships are vital and will help us stand through victories and trails
- Building bridges of trust and love. Eph 5:21
- Through our life groups meetings and meals together.
5. Passionate Worship. Psalm 150
- A lifestyle of worship, devotion and reverence. Rom 12:1-2
- By expressing our praise privately and publicly through joyful singing, etc. Psa 150
6. Prayer
- Every believer devoted to private and corporate prayer, with petition and thanksgiving. Matt 6:5-15, Acts 2:42-47.
- Knowing that the believer has a prayer-hearing and prayer answering God.
7. Going to the Nations
- We can see in Gen 12:1-2 that God has blessed us in order that we can be a blessing to all nations.
- In Matt 28:18-20, Jesus commands us to make disciples of all nations. This should be done at home in our community as well as to the ends of the earth simultaneously. In Acts 1:8 Jesus tells His disciples – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- Every aspect of our lives should therefore have this as its goal.
